Laboratory assay overview

This test includes sequencing and deletion/duplication analysis of the FH gene. A pathogenic variant in the FH gene is consistent with a diagnosis of hereditary leiomyomatosis and renal cell cancer (HLRCC). Individuals with HLRCC have an elevated risk of developing renal cell cancer and cutaneous and uterine leiomyomas. Individuals with HLRCC may rarely develop cutaneous and uterine leiomyosarcomas, pheochromocytomas, and paragangliomas.

Verify these ranges and sources

We compile every detail above directly from named laboratory directories and published clinical studies. Laboratories calculate standard reference intervals from the statistical distribution of tested populations for a specific assay method and demographic group, rather than setting universal optimal targets.

Always review your personal lab results with a licensed clinician, or track your lab history and health goals in Aumnivida.
