Laboratory assay overview

The IGH-MAFB probe set is used to detect the t(14;20)(q32;q12) in patients with high-risk plasma cell myeloma (PCM). This translocation is strongly associated with del(13q), hypodiploidy, and gain of 1q. However, patients with t(14;20) and monoclonal gammopathy, MGUS, or smoldering PCM, may have stable disease for years before progressing.

Verify these ranges and sources

We compile every detail above directly from named laboratory directories and published clinical studies. Laboratories calculate standard reference intervals from the statistical distribution of tested populations for a specific assay method and demographic group, rather than setting universal optimal targets.

Always review your personal lab results with a licensed clinician, or track your lab history and health goals in Aumnivida.
