Laboratory assay overview

This test is intended to be used as an aid in the diagnosis of both human granulocytic anaplasmosis (HGA), formerly known as human granulocytic ehrlichiosis (HGE), caused by Anaplasma phagocytophilum and human monocytic ehrlichiosis (HME). The HME assay will detect but not differentiate multiple Ehrlichia species including E. chaffeensis, E. ewingii and E. muris .

Verify these ranges and sources

We compile every detail above directly from named laboratory directories and published clinical studies. Laboratories calculate standard reference intervals from the statistical distribution of tested populations for a specific assay method and demographic group, rather than setting universal optimal targets.
