Ranges

Each lab publishes a reference range for the population groups it tests, usually the middle 95% of results. These intervals describe that population, not an optimal or healthy target. How ranges differ

  • Adalimumab Level and Anti-Drug Antibody 36296

2 analytes · Serum · Fasting not stated

    Method and collection
    Method
    Chemiluminescent Immunoassay
    Preparation
Dietary supplements containing biotin may interfere in assays and may skew results to be either falsely high or falsely low. For patients receiving the recommended daily doses of biotin, draw samples at least 8 hours following the last biotin supplementation. For patients on mega-doses of biotin supplements, draw samples at least 72 hours following the last biotin supplementation. Collect immediately before next scheduled dose (trough specimen).
    Collection
Draw blood in non-separator gel tube (red-top) or separator gel tube (SST). Centrifuge and transfer serum to a labeled plastic transport tube.

Panels that include this biomarker

  • Adalimumab and Anti-Adalimumab Antibody, Dose ASSURE™ ADL 503890

    2 analytes · Serum · Fasting not stated · Turnaround 6 - 10 days

    Method and collection
    Method
    Electrochemiluminescence immunoassay (ECLIA)
    Collection
Allow a minimum clotting time of 30 to 60 minutes with serum separation within 2 hours of collection. Send serum in a plastic transport tube. To avoid delays in turnaround time when requesting multiple tests on frozen samples, please submit separate frozen specimens for each test requested.
    Reference notes
    • Adalimumab drug level: − Quantitation limit: <0.6 μg/mL − Results ≥0.6 μg/mL indicate detection of adalimumab. In the presence of antiadalimumab antibody, the adalimumab drug level reflects the antibody-unbound fraction of adalimumab concentration in serum. • Antiadalimumab antibody: − Quantitation limit: <25 ng/mL − Results ≥25 ng/mL indicate detection of adalimumab antibody.

We compile this page from named laboratory catalogs, guidelines and studies. Labs calculate reference intervals from the people they test, for one assay method and one population group, so an interval describes that population rather than an optimal target.
