  • Glucose 6-Phosphate Dehydrogenase (G6PD), Quantitative and Hemoglobin, Cord Blood 121074

    2 analytes · Blood · Fasting not stated · Turnaround 2 - 4 days

    Method and collection
    Method
G6PD: Kinetic - 340 nm; Hemoglobin: Automated cell counter
    Collection
Collect whole blood from umbilical cord. Cord blood is especially susceptible to clotting. Testing will not be performed on clotted specimens. Please use Glucose 6-Phosphate Dehydrogenase (G6PD), Quantitative, Blood and Hemoglobin [121003] and submit peripheral whole blood instead of cord blood if clotting is problematic.

We compile this page from named laboratory catalogs, guidelines and studies. Labs calculate reference intervals from the people they test, for one assay method and one population group, so an interval describes that population rather than an optimal target.
