Labcorp 2 tests

Single-analyte tests

  • Isoniazid, Serum or Plasma 808376

    Serum · Fasting not stated · Turnaround 10 - 14 days

    Method and collection
    Method
High-pressure liquid chromatography with ultraviolet detection (HPLC/UV)
    Preparation
    Trough levels are most reproducible.
    Collection
Serum or plasma should be separated from cells within two hours of venipuncture. Submit serum or plasma in a plastic transport tube.
    Reference notes
The effective concentration range of isoniazid is dependent on the minimum inhibitory concentration of the pathogen being treated. Toxic range: >20 µg/mL.

    Method and collection
    Method
    High Performance Liquid chromatography (HPLC)
    Collection
Separate serum or plasma from cells immediately by centrifuge and aliquot into a labeled plastic screw-cap vial. Use a separate tube for each test ordered. Allow room for expansion of samples. Freeze at -70° C if possible, but at minimum -20° C. Note: Ship samples to be received Monday through Friday. Do not ship on Friday or Saturday. Fully complete IDPL requisition, including drug dose amount, frequency, method, and date and time of laste dose prior to draw. Ship samples via overnight delivery on >3 lbs of dry ice.

We compile this page from named laboratory catalogs, guidelines and studies. Labs calculate reference intervals from the people they test, for one assay method and one population group, so an interval describes that population rather than an optimal target.
