  • Quad Screen 30294

4 analytes · Serum · Fasting not stated · Turnaround Set up: Mon-Fri (Day shift); Report available: 4 days

    Method and collection
    Method
    Immunoassay (IA)
    Collection
For manual orders use "Maternal Serum Screen Requisition" The Quad test in pregnant women should be performed between 14.0 and 22.9 weeks gestational age, although the optimal period is 15.0-16.9 weeks. This time frame allows sufficient opportunity for further diagnostic studies if the initial Quad Screen test results are abnormal. Specimens submitted before 14.0 weeks or after 22.9 weeks gestation cannot be properly evaluated for open neural tube defects, Down Syndrome or Trisomy 18. The Maternal Serum Screen Requisition designed to obtain patient data and the patient's informed consent must be utilized when ordering the Quad Screen test. Because the Quad Screen test results are influenced by certain patient characteristics, the following data must be provided with the specimen in order to permit accurate interpretation of results: date of collection, patient's (maternal) date of birth, patient's estimated date of delivery, patient's weight, patient's race, patient's diabetic status (is patient insulin dependent prior to pregnancy), number of fetuses, and whether this is a repeat sample.

  • Sequential Integrated Screen, Part 2 16133

4 analytes · Serum · Fasting not stated

    Method and collection
    Method
    Chemiluminescence (CL) • Immunoassay (IA)
    Collection
Collect between 14.0 to 22 6/7 weeks. Maternal date of birth (mm/dd/yy), Estimated Date of Delivery by US/LMP/PE, weight, race, insulin-dependent diabetes status, repeat sample (Y/N), number of fetuses, and neural tube defect history must be provided for interpretation of results. Must complete patient demographic information using the Maternal Serum Screen Requisition.

    5 analytes · Serum · Fasting not stated · Turnaround Set up: Mon-Fri (a.m.); Report available: Tues-Fri, Mon p.m.

    Method and collection
    Method
    Chemiluminescence (CL) • Immunoassay (IA)
    Collection
For manual orders use "Maternal Serum Screen Requisition". The Integrated Screen, Part 2 should be performed 14.0 weeks to 22.9 weeks gestational age. A special maternal serum screen requisition designed to obtain patient data and the patient's informed consent must be utilized when ordering this test. Because these results are influenced by certain patient characteristics, all data requested on the requisition form must be complete: Patient's (maternal) date of birth, estimated date of delivery, weight, race, diabetic status (is patient insulin dependent; prior to pregnancy), number of fetuses, repeat sample and neural tube defect history must be provided for interpretation of results.

We compile this page from named laboratory catalogs, guidelines and studies. Labs calculate reference intervals from the people they test, for one assay method and one population group, so an interval describes that population rather than an optimal target.
